Restoration of the bell crown

Comparisons with other historical bells were the template for the crown to be reconstructed. Various steps from scanning the historic bell, CAD reconstruction to the recasting of the crown from bronze in the same alloy ratio were important preparatory work for the restoration of the bell.

A special welding process was used to integrate the new crown and the suspension iron for the clapper into the historic bell body. Now the bell can ring again to the delight of the people.
